Spoor & Fisher has again been awarded a Band 1 rating in the Intellectual Property category in the latest edition of Chambers Global Guide for 2017. This pre-eminent guide ranks the top lawyers and leading firms in 185 jurisdictions on the basis of legal knowledge and experience; ability; effectiveness; and client-service.

With ratings based on responses received from clients and counsel, this is a sort-after accolade and one that Spoor & Fisher is proud to have received consistently for the past five years.

The latest edition of the guide describes the practice as a “highly regarded intellectual property player with leading experience across a broad array of commercial matters” that is “respected for its exceptional track record of handling trade mark enforcement and prosecution, with impressive experience working with clients in South Africa and across the continent”.

In addition to this overall assessment of the firm, Charles Webster, Carl van Rooyen, Herman Blignaut, Eben van Wyk, Hugh Moubray and Jonathan Whittaker received individual mention for their particular expertise and ability as Intellectual Property litigators.
