Eugene Moll is a respected South African botanist, author and naturalist known for his work on indigenous flora. He authored Trees of Natal, co-authored Sappi Tree Spotting: Cape, and edited the 1977 edition of Trees of Southern Africa by Coates Palgrave. As editor of The Illustrated Dictionary of Southern African Plant Names, he helped bridge scientific and common plant knowledge. He has supported the publication of over 30 botanical titles through fundraising and editorial input.
Moll's accessible, richly illustrated writing reflects a deep commitment to conservation, making botany more engaging for both professionals
and enthusiasts. Michaela Badenhorst is the Partnerships Manager at the Greenpop Foundation, an award- winning environmental non-profit based in Cape Town. With a background in education and environmental studies, she is passionate about fostering meaningful environmental learning for both children and adults, believing lasting change begins with connection.
She leads relationship-building initiatives and helps create immersive urban greening and forest restoration experiences. Michaela thrives in the field, facilitating hands-on opportunities that turn supporters into active participants. She is committed to sharing stories of restoration that inspire environmental stewardship and connect corporate social investment with tangible ecological impact.
