The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has three new commissioners, appointed by President Cyril Ramaphosa, on the recommendations of the National Assembly.
Judge Dhaya Pillay, Mosotho Moepya and Joyce Pitso will serve as commissioners for seven years.
Reappointed Moepya, and Pitso will serve as full-time members, while reappointed Pillay will serve part-time.
Moepya will also serve as chairperson of the IEC.
“The President wishes the commissioners well in safeguarding the integrity of diverse elections in the country," the Presidency said in a statement.
