The Public Servants Association (PSA) has noted the announcement by the President regarding the establishment of a specialised South African Police Service (SAPS) team to pursue matters arising from the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry.
The PSA welcomes steps aimed at strengthening accountability, upholding the rule of law, and ensuring that all issues raised during the Commission’s proceedings receive the necessary attention from the appropriate authorities.
The PSA is committed to ethical governance and transparent public administration and therefore emphasises the importance of ensuring that investigative processes remain thorough, impartial, and consistent. It is essential that any matters arising from the Commission be handled fairly, timely and with due consideration for all evidence presented.
The PSA is supportive of processes that reinforce public trust in state institutions and encourages continued action that promotes integrity and accountability across all levels of the public sector.
