- Palestinian women in the labour market7.64 MB
An increasing number of Palestinian women are being forced to seek employment in illegal Israeli settlements due to the severe economic restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation.
With limited job opportunities in the Palestinian economy, women find themselves in precarious and exploitative conditions, working long hours for substandard wages and with no labour protections. Over 6 500 Palestinian women currently work in Israeli settlements, primarily in agriculture (65.5%) and manufacturing (33.3%), with the number steadily increasing over recent years.
