Global legal practice Norton Rose Fulbright achieves top 3 ranking in the Acritas Sharplegal 2014 Global Elite Brand Index – a rise of four places from 2013.

This year’s rise follows a series of successful combinations that have fuelled Norton Rose Fulbright’s meteoric rise from 15th in 2010 to third this year – the greatest five year rise of any firm in the Index. Norton Rose Fulbright has benefited from the expanded reach and capabilities created through its combinations to achieve high levels of favourability among in-house counsel who also value the firm’s key industry sector approach and strong leadership.

The power of market differentiation is clear in the results of the Global Elite industry sub-indices, which reveal Norton Rose Fulbright leading across the energy, utilities and mining sectors. Regionally, the practice is ranked number one in Canada.

Acritas’ fifth annual Global Elite Law Firm Brand Index reveals the law firms which are adapting most successfully to the changing market and winning client loyalty and favourability as a result.

Peter Martyr, global chief executive, Norton Rose Fulbright said:
“This great achievement reinforces our commitment to our clients and their ever  changing needs in an international marketplace.  Our enhanced global footprint has further bolstered our brand recognition, which affirms the dedication and work put in by our people."

Acritas’ Global Elite Brand Index 2014 is compiled from analysis of an extract of data from the Sharplegal Global Elite survey 2014 dataset. All data is derived from 1185 interviews with respondents, in $1 billion+ revenue organizations across the world, who have senior responsibility for buying legal services. All interviews were conducted by telephone in local languages across 55 countries between October 2013 and August 2014. All interviewing was undertaken by Acritas in strict accordance with the rules governing best practice in research.
