MMC Sekwaila to Launch Rooftop Solar Geysers in Finetown Region G

The Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for the Environment and Infrastructure Services Department (EISD), Cllr Jack Sekwaila will on Saturday, 24 June 2023 launch the rooftop solar geyser project in Finetown, Region G.

This is in response to MMC Sekwaila’s commitment made during the launch of the Solar High Mast public lighting project two weeks ago in Finetown.

The rooftop solar geyser project is also part of ten projects that the MMC Sekwaila announced with City Power to explore alternative energy solutions to address the challenges brought by loadshedding and alleviate the pressure on its customers.

The MMC will be accompanied by MMC for Group Corporate and Shared Services (GCSS), Cllr Loyiso Masuku, MMC for Economic Development, Cllr Nomoya Mnisi and MMC for Development Planning, Cllr Eunice Mgcina.
