South Africa’s  Honourable Minister of Defence & Military Veterans Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Ms Nosiviwe Noluthando Mapisa-Nqakula will open the upcoming Land Forces Africa in Pretoria at 09:00am on 6th July 2015. Over 1000 regional defence, security and emergency services experts from over 43 countries will gather to discuss advancing Africa's defence and security objectives through interoperability. The South African Military Health Service and ARMSCOR are key partners to the event.

On Monday, 6th July the conference will feature general sessions and discussions on interoperability in African multinational operations as well as military and civilian collaboration in African disaster management missions. Day two of the conference programme offers two separate sessions and introduces the Disaster Management Africa track where the Nigerian Church Collapse will be discussed as a case study.
You are invited to the opening of the Land Forces Africa conference (including Disaster Management Africa) to hear the Minister’s presentation and talk to some of the leading stakeholders in Africa’s defence and security sector; including:

·         General Geraldo Sachipengo Nunda, Chief of the General Staff, Angola Armed Forces
