The Public Service Commission (PSC) and the Moral Regeneration Movement (MRM) entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 21 July 2016. In practicalising the MoU, the two organisations will publicly launch the agreement in a symbolic yet significant manner through a special roundtable discussion on ethical leadership under the theme: “Building ethical leadership towards a developmental state”.

The key-note address will be delivered by Prof Vil – Nkomo, Senior Research Professor at the Centre for the Advancement of Scholarship at the University of Pretoria and Chairperson of the Board of Governors of the Mapungubwe Institute for Strategic Reflection (MISTRA). A Panel Discussion will follow the address by the key-note speaker. The panellists will include Professor Richard Levin, Principal of the National School of Government (NSG) who will reflect on the role of the NSG in building ethical leadership towards a developmental state whilst Dr Tshenuwani Farisani, Chairperson of Safer South Africa, will touch on the role of civil society in the promotion of ethical leadership.

Fr. Smangaliso Mkhatshwa, Chief Executive Officer of the MRM and Advocate RK Sizani, Chairperson of the PSC will briefly reflect on the rationale for cooperation between the two organisations.
