The GOOD Party reaffirms its commitment to standing with the Palestinian people in their ongoing struggle for justice, freedom, and the recognition of their inalienable rights.

Today, the annual observance of the United Nations International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, marks an opportunity to mobilise political will and resources to address the ever-growing humanitarian crisis

As GOOD, we are horrified by the ongoing genocide unfolding right in front of the world’s eyes, and by the fact that unfair and imbalanced world power relations continue to permit it.

We demand global action to stop the destruction in Gaza and the invasions in neighbouring states by Israel.

We further demand that South Africa’s Parliament implement the Apartheid Bill and impose sanctions on Israel.

It is time for South Africa, inspired by our own history of resisting oppression, to lead the call for stronger international pressure on Israel, including measures like Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions.

Cutting Israel’s economic pipeline would undoubtedly force it to re-consider its options.

South Africa may not be the most powerful country in the world.

But our experience has taught us that economic ‘sticks and stones’ hurt more than words of condemnation.
