Gauteng Commemorates Nelson Mandela Day

Gauteng Premier, David Makhura will tomorrow, Tuesday 18 July 2017 lead the Gauteng Provincial Government’s activities to honour Nelson Mandela Day.

Premier Makhura together with MEC for Human Settlements Paul Mashatile, volunteers from Habitat for Humanity and a number of private sector organisations will devote 67 minutes of their time to build a house for an elderly resident of Drieziek extension 4, Orange Farm.

Mandela Day, launched on his birthday, 18 July 2009 commemorates the lifetime of service Nelson Mandela gave to South Africa and the world.
