ENSafrica was acknowledged as the key legal advisor on the matter that was named the BEE Deal of the Year at the prestigious 2019 Dealmakers Gala Awards and received the Black Economic Empowerment Award for legal advisors by deal value in the M&A category.

ENSafrica was recognised as a leading corporate legal advisor in terms of both transaction value and transaction flow, for M&A and General Corporate Finance in South Africa.

The firm played a critical role as a key legal advisor on the disposal of the Nampak Glass business to Isanti Glass 1 (a joint venture between Kwande Capital and Sabsa Holdings) for an estimated ZAR1.5-billion, which won BEE Deal of the Year.

ENSafrica’s position in the BEE M&A market is further reflected by the deal shortlisted for BEE Deal of the Year where we were the legal advisor to South32 in their milestone sale of South Africa Energy Coal to Seriti Resources.

We were also advisors on two deals that were shortlisted for private equity deal of the year – RMB Ventures and Bopa Moruo Fund II’s acquisition of Cargo Compass; and Actis’ exit of Compuscan and ScoreSharp to Experian; as well as on Clover’s acquisition by Milco, which was shortlisted for deal of the year.

We would like to assure you of our ongoing passion and commitment and are grateful to you for entrusting us with some of your most valuable and important M&A and corporate finance matters in Africa.
