RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Critically analyzing the scope and scale of the company’s current multidisciplinary engineering architecture.
• Identifying appropriate engineering solutions in support of the company’s current and future strategic and operational trajectories.
• Projecting the capital and operational requirements of the engineering function.
• Surveying the risk profile of the engineering function across the group.
• Introducing appropriate cost measurement mechanisms across the engineering value chain.
• Institutionalizing a reporting regime in support of timeous and efficient interventions. 
• Proactively advancing the company’s interests across the full spectrum of the company’s technical supply chain.
• Providing visionary and supportive leadership to a diverse team.
• Representing the company on a range of industry and sectoral forums.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• An appropriate tertiary qualification commensurate with the strategic objectives of the position.
• 10 years’ experience preferably in the automotive industry of which at least 3 should have been in a managerial/leadership capacity.
• Reputable track record verifiable with creditable references.
