Voters in the Western Cape have endorsed the DA’s delivery record once again by ousting the ANC in Langeberg and Cederberg by-elections.

The DA secured almost double the vote received in the last Local Government Elections in both wards, taking both away from the ANC.

These breakthrough wins show the voters’ confidence in our results-driven service delivery and integrity where we already govern in the Western Cape.

The results are as follows:

  • Ward 4, Cederberg grew from 466 votes (17.7%) in LGE 2021 to 845 votes (35%)
  • Ward 4, Langeberg grew from 456 votes (31.6%) in LGE 2021 to 975 votes (40.47%)

We congratulate the DA West Region leadership and the newly-elected DA Councillors Paul Strauss (Cederberg) and Daniel Baadjies (Langeberg). We believe they will be ideal flagbearers of the DA’s trend of solid governance.

A special thank you to the voters of Cederberg and Langeberg for voting DA. Your vote sends a powerful message that you want effective governance and real delivery.

Thanks also go to our public reps, activists, and staff for the pivotal roles they played in this double victory.

The #KomPadToe campaign continues.
