The DA in the Western Cape commends the City of Cape Town and its residents for their exceptional efforts in reducing water usage.
The city has, for the first time since summer, successfully used less than 850 million litres of water per day, which is below the target that the metro has set.
This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the city's leadership and its residents.
We would also like to commend the city of Cape Town for their efforts to track down water leaks, replace old water pipes, and implement water pressure management measures. These efforts have played a critical role in reducing water consumption and ensuring the sustainable use of this precious resource.
As we celebrate this milestone, I would like to encourage all residents to continue using water sparingly and making it a habit to use less water in their daily lives. By working together, we can continue to conserve water and ensure that our city remains sustainable.
