The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Kwazulu-Natal congratulates John Steenhuisen on accomplishing his mission that he set out to achieve when he was first elected Leader in 2019.
As his home province, John has played an important role in the DA’s trajectory in KwaZulu-Natal from supporting our efforts to win our first municipality with an outright majority, to going into the Government of Provincial Unity. He has been a constant source of wisdom to our structures.
The DA in KZN recognizes the years of service he has poured into KZN from his time as the DA eThekwini Caucus Leader, DA KZN Provincial Leader, Political Head in Chatsworth and Phoenix, and his continued availability to campaign in the province.
John Steenhuisen represents the very best of what the DA in KZN offers voters, a dedicated, loyal and hard-working public representative.
As a province, we remain proud of the Federal Leader's record and that he delivered on his mandate to DA activists, public representatives and the voters of South Africa.
We salute John Steenhuisen on his mission accomplished.
