Today marks a crucial day for Higher Education Minister Dr. Nobuhle Nkabane, as she is expected to reveal the names of the Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) Board Chairpersons Selection and Evaluation Panel, which reportedly assisted her in appointing ANC-aligned individuals to SETA board positions through a process that has raised concerns about its transparency.

The Minister then chose to withdraw her appointments days later after a public outcry and questions from the parliamentary portfolio committee on higher education.

The DA is waiting to see whether Minister Nkabane has been cured from her allergic reaction to accountability and transparency. Will the Minister honour the portfolio committee's generous deadline for her to submit the mystery names of the panel? Today is the day and the DA would love to see it.

This follows her blatant arrogance and shameless attempt to evade accountability before Parliament on the composition of this panel.

The DA will not let this slide. Minister Nkabane must come clean, whether she likes it or not.
