One (1) municipal ward by-elections will take place in Mpumalanga on Wednesday, 19 October 2022.

Three (3) candidates from three (3) political parties. The By-elections will be contested by.

Mpumalanga: 

Ward 11 in the Nkomazi Municipality – MP324 will be contested by Mumsie Rose Khoza who is an Independent, Sizakele Precious Ngomane of the African National Congress (ANC) and Surprise Mafia Fane from the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).

The ward was previously represented by the ANC and became vacant as a result of the councillor’s membership being terminated from the party. The voter turnout for this ward in the 2021 municipal elections was 53,65% and the ANC candidate won the ward with 53,79% of valid votes.
