With the increased rise of strike action in South Africa – as recently experienced in the last few weeks, it has become vital for companies to be proactive in their approach to industrial action.
Bowmans Law, one of Africa’s leading law firms, has developed a toolkit called the ‘Strike Management Guideline’, the purpose of which is to help organisations manage industrial action effectively for both protected and unprotected strikes.
During a period of ‘unrest’, it is imperative that swift action is taken to prevent any delays or prolonging of the action. This toolkit will equip industries that are volatile and susceptible to strikes, however, it will also prepare those that aren’t. It assists with dealing with trade unions and employees when a deadlock is reached during collective bargaining.
