Bowmans’ position as the pre-eminent African law firm has once again been endorsed by a credible independent third party. At the Chambers Africa Awards ceremony, which was held online earlier today (27 February 2025) Bowmans Kenya was named Kenya Full-Service Law Firm of the Year: Transactional, Bowmans South Africa was named South Africa Full-Service Law Firm of the Year: Transactional and Bowmans Tanzania was named Tanzania Law Firm of the Year.

This is the second time that Bowmans has achieved this top accolade in Kenya, South Africa and Tanzania. This year’s awards follow Bowmans Tanzania being named Tanzanian Law Firm of the Year last year; Bowmans South Africa being named South Africa Law Firm of the Year in 2023; and Bowmans Kenya being named Kenya Law Firm of the Year in 2022.

The Chambers Africa Awards put leading law firms in their jurisdictions and their outstanding achievements over the past year under the spotlight. The winners are selected following an extensive research process that delves into a firm's legal expertise, its strategic growth and expansion as well as its client service delivery.

These excellent results come hot on the heels of Chambers and Partners announcing its rankings research results for 2025. Bowmans was recognised in 42 specialist areas of law, with 21 of these rankings in Band One, and 102 of its lawyers achieved 126 individual rankings.
