The Democratic Alliance’s (DA) victory in today’s Tshwane, Ward 57 by-election sends a very clear message: the DA is the party of choice for residents who want the Capital City to work again.

Tshwane finds itself in the midst of a service delivery crisis. One only compounded by directionless leadership under the current ANC-led coalition, who consistently claim success, but deliver only disappointment.

Jack Page, the newly elected Councillor for Ward 57, will now join a team of public representatives who are committed to taking Tshwane back, and delivering a Capital City that truly works.

The outcome of this by-election only serves to prove that we are on the right track as we head toward the local government election later this year.

We extend our sincerest thanks to every voter who placed their trust in Jack Page, and the DA yesterday. Together with those likeminded voters, we will take back Tshwane later this year, and deliver a Capital City that works for all of its residents.
