AfriForum welcomes the announcement of Lt Gen Khehla Sitole, the new National Police Commissioner, in Parliament to have lifestyle audits done within the SAPS.
“It is a step in the right direction to regain the good name of the SAPS,” says Ian Cameron, AfriForum’s Head of Community Safety.
“These audits will in future also help to curb corruption – which hangs over the heads of various police members and commissioners – in the SAPS. With decisions such as these Sitole can possibly bring an end to many mistakes within the police.”
