In an era of climate change and widening inequality, achieving Inclusive, Sustainable, Economic, Transformation (ISET) is paramount for low- and middle-income countries.
This policy brief presents findings from a four-year research project, supported by Sida (The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency), that delves into the challenges and opportunities of ISET. We examine how to move beyond traditional growth models, ensuring that economic progress translates into tangible benefits for all, while respecting planetary boundaries. Featuring case studies from Bangladesh, Indonesia and Kenya, learn about the critical trade-offs, explore sectoral insights from agriculture, textiles, energy and the informal sector, and discover actionable policy recommendations for a more equitable and sustainable future.
